Royal Vauxhall

Heaven really was a place on earth with this project!

We are thrilled to be working with world-famous venue the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on a series of 4 short film showcasing its iconic events, incredible team and its fascinating history. As one of the oldest surviving LGBTQ+ venues in the country, with drag performances dating back to the late 1940s, the venue is a true celebration of diversity and inclusivity.

Having won many awards for it’s fantastic shows, including London’s Best Cabaret Venue in both 2018 and 2019, the first video we created focussed on cabaret performances – featuring the inimitable and iconic Belinda Carlisle, along with an incredible selection of drag artists.

To showcase inclusivity of LGBT community outside of just gay men, expanding their visibility as welcoming to lesbian, bisexual and transgender and all members of that community.

To be recognised as a leading venue in London, attracting acts such as Belinda Carlisle, Carol Decker from T’Pau and Mutya Buena of Sugababes fame.

To be seen as the place to see the premier up and coming Drag and cabaret acts from around the UK and further afield.

To use their historical presence in the gay scene and from time to time call back to their history, including acts like Regina Fong, Diana Dors and Lily Savage.

  • Development of an engaging, performance-based video with a narrative of the night in question, portraying the rich and vibrant ethos of the venue.
  • All planning, storyboarding, videography, animation and editing in line with the brief.
  • Creation of a compelling final video, edited for use on social media to promote the venue to a wider audience, including animated elements using RVT branding.
